Heroin found at scene of crime By Senaka de Silva

Police who conducted a cordon and search operation close to the location where M. Ismail Sahabdeen was gunned down allegedly by the LTTE pistol gang on Thursday evening have found a parcel containing 1.8 kilograms of high quality brown sugar which has a market value of Rs. 3.5 million.

Police suspect that the victim had trafficked heroin from India. The Talaimannar police is conducting investigations.
