Deputy leader of Intelligence unit of Wanni tigers killed in Batticaloa

As a result of an attack launched around 11.30 a.m. this morning, the deputy leader of Wanni tigers’ intelligence unit in Batticaloa, Prabhakaran has been killed. The security forces suspect that this attack has been done by Karuna faction. The incident occurred in a village about 15 kilometres away from Batticaloa.

Ten Wanni Tigers killed by Karuna faction

It is reported that ten Wanni tigers killed and 12 were injured by the Krauna loyalists attack on yesterday(30) evening at Nilapanichchikulam in Trincomalee district.

Our sources said that these Wanni tigers killed when the Karuna loyalists attacked Wanni tigers base camp at Kumburupidi Peraru. Security report analyses said this is the first time Karuna faction had launched attack against Wanni tigers in this area.

Security forces says this area is beyond their control.
