Much to the discomfort of the police department, it has come to light that Jayakumar, the LTTE member who has been nabbed, had been residing in the house of a traffic constable in Thanjavur as a tenant for seven months on the pretext of doing business.
It may be recalled that the sleuths of ‘Q’ Branch nabbed two LTTE militants, Jayakumar and James, at the international airport in Chennai on Dec 8.
Enquiries with the duo revealed that Jayakumar had been residing at Mullai Nagar of New Housing Unit in Thanjavur, as a tenant of head constable Ramalingam, attached to the traffic police.
