LTTE’s sentry point at Pullimalai, came under attack by Karuna’s men and several feared dead - Asian Tribune

According to a latest news break, it was reported that the front sentry point of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam’s (LTTE’s) Pullimalai camp came under severe attack and several cadres belonging to the Tamil rebel out were killed in the sudden attack.

In the news report received by the “Asian Tribune,” a pose of Colonel Karuna’s Amman’s armed cadres launched an attack on the front sentry point located in front of the LTTE’s camp at Pullimalai yesterday night at about 10.30 PM .

The report further said that rocket propellers and other small firearms were used in the one hour long attack against the LTTE men.

In the sudden attack by Karuna’s men it is feared that almost all the LTTE cadres in the sentry point were killed.

Details of the causality figures are sketchy at the time posting this news item.

Meanwhile Sri Lankan newspapers in today’s morning edition, carried a news item regarding the attack on the LTTE camp located at Ayithiyamalai in the East.

According to the newspapers it was reported that around 8 LTTE cadres were killed in that attack.

But the LTTE in a statement denied that no such attack took place on their camps yesterday, as reported in the Sri Lankan news papers.
